Week 1- Introduction

Welcome!
My name is Sarah Kemmer and I am a first grade teacher born and raised in Michigan. I started out teaching part time computers-technology in a small Catholic school in Pinconning Michigan. I am now on my second year teaching first grade. I'm 26 years old and graduated from CMU in 2014.I have a triple minor in education, with my minors in math, science and language arts as well as added minor in leadership.  I love to be outside and participate in anything active. I currently work as a soccer coach for Bay City Central. When I'm not in school you can usually find me on the soccer field training, coaching or refereeing soccer. I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends and going on all sorts of adventures. My next adventure planned is taking me to Las Vegas!
I look forward to this class and learning about the different technology tools I can begin to incorporate within my own classroom.

I too look forward to utilizing the tools learned in this course in my class.
This sounds like an especially busy time of the year for you. Best of luck with your soccer season and finishing the year!

  2. Hey Sarah! I am so excited that there are other early elementary teachers in this course. In previous courses I have felt a little lonely at the bottom. Ha! Looking forward to learning ways to incorporate multimedia tools k-3!

  3. Hi Sarah!

Glad to have another class together :). I'm coaching JV Girls soccer so I'm out on the field a lot this Spring as well. I hope your team is doing well and that they can finish the season strong! Enjoy the remainder of your school year and I hope this class provides you with resources/tools you can utilize in your own classroom.

  4. Hi Sarah,

I can not remember if we shared a class in the past or not. It has been a strain on the mind with classes and end of the school year activities. But, I am a teacher at Central and I have some of soccer players in my classes. If you ever need a progress report let me know. I also noticed your Tri Sig shirt, I was in a fraternity and I always recommend to anyone to join Greek or at least a student organization on campus and be involved. Good luck with the class.

  5. Hi Sarah,
I attended Pinconning High School back in the day and played soccer during my college years. Hope you enjoy your trip out west, it's a fun place!
